about their experiences as a law
enforcement officer in your community?
Do you have an interest in a career as a
law enforcement officer? If you are a
Citizen of Pawtucket an interested in
the answers to these questions and would
like to know more, you should consider
applying as a candidate for the
Pawtucket Police Department Citizens
Police Academy.
The
Citizens Police Academy is an exciting
and educational program designed to
teach citizens within our community what
police officers really do. The program
allows citizens to learn more about the
career from those involved. While
participating citizens will not become
experts, they will learn about the many
different aspects of the job. By
allowing the citizens within our
community to learn about the operations
of the police department, we hope that
we will continue to build strong
relationships and combine our efforts to
improve the quality of life in
Pawtucket.
The
Citizens Police Academy starts on
Wednesday, March 31, 2010 and will
continue for ten weeks. Classes will be
held on Wednesday evenings from 6:00
pm to 8:00 pm, at the Pawtucket
Police Department’s Substation located
at 270 Armistice Boulevard. An 80%
attendance rate must be maintained to
graduate from the program.
